OMNIGRAFFLE VS AXURE HOW TO
I, no one, can tell you how to work best or get the job done. Granted if you're comfortable using illustrator for things then go for it. In fact I used it exclusivly for a mobile game pretty recently. Personal opinion here of course, but dedicated software is more than fine for doing that (and boy is there more options than just "tap here", btw). > a lot of projects like native mobile games or anything that explores the vast world interaction beyond "tap call to action button" / "select radio button" / "tap ok button" for which to me Illustrator is still the only tool and if you absolutely have to do that it's perfectly fine importing images. The part where cosmetics, "fun", is not put into visuals yet. It's wireframing it's functionality, it's information design. Axure can be classified as a tool in the Interactive Mockups category, while OmniGraffle is grouped under Diagramming. I assume by "defining an experience without predefined boundries" you mean graphics/custom shapes, since that's the one thing Axure and the likes doesn't do. to me Illustrator is still the only tool allowing you to wireframe a UI and define an experience without predefined boundaries.
